Account information. Creating a Fixated account requires a name, email address, and password, or you can sign in using Google or Apple. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from them (such as your name and email address) as permitted by your settings on those platforms. We use this information to let you log in, recover your account, and keep your reading lists and community activity tied to you across devices.
Session data. When you log in, we store technical session information including your IP address and device/browser information, used to keep you securely logged in and to detect suspicious account activity.
Reading lists and preferences. When you use Fixated, you can save series to your personal reading list, rate titles, follow series, and filter by trope preferences. This data is stored to power your personal library and recommendations, and is associated with your account so it persists across sessions and devices.
Community content. If you post discussion comments (including comment images), create community lists, submit manhwa or trope suggestions, or otherwise contribute content visible to other users, that content is stored and may be visible to other Fixated users. Do not include personal information in anything you post publicly, since community content is, by nature, seen by other members.
Reports. If you report another user's content, we store your report along with the content reported, so we can review and act on it. See "Community Content and Moderation" below.
Push notifications. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token to send you notifications (such as new releases from series you follow). You can disable this anytime in your device settings.
Subscription status. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your app store account's anonymous subscriber ID to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Usage data. We may collect basic usage data (such as which features are used and how often) to understand how Fixated is used and to improve the app.
We do not host or distribute copyrighted manga or manhwa content ourselves. Fixated links out to third-party, officially licensed platforms for reading — we do not collect data about what you read on those external platforms. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. We do not use your account data for third-party advertising.
We share data with the following third parties, limited to what is necessary to operate the service:
We link out to third-party officially licensed reading platforms (such as Webtoon, Lezhin, Tappytoon, Manta, and similar services) as part of Fixated's core recommendation feature. Once you leave Fixated to read on one of these platforms, their own privacy policy governs your data, not this one. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external platform you use.
Your account data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
You can export your data or delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app's Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your name, email address, password, reading lists, and community content you've posted — this cannot be undone. If you are located in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Content you post in community features (discussion, comments, comment images, lists) may be visible to other users of Fixated. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our Terms of Use. If you report another user's content, we store your report along with the reported content so we can review it. We reserve the right to review, moderate, or restrict any account or content that violates our Terms of Use, including content that sexualizes minors in any form (including fictional depictions), which is strictly prohibited. Fixated is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If we make material changes to how we collect or use data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
